| Admissions Procedure: | Students referred from school districts complete an application and pre-admission assessment, followed by an interview and tour of the school. Required documents include a recent psychological evaluation, a current I.E.P., transcript of grades, and an immunization record. |
| Programs and Services: | Standard middle and high school curriculum. When required, students can receive individual counseling, speech and language therapy, occupation therapy, and physical therapy. Granite Hill School uses the Wilson© Reading Method. |
| Additional Information: | Students who successfully complete graduation requirements are awarded diplomas from their sending school districts, we do not grant diplomas. The school also offers programs in alpine skiing, snowboarding, hiking, kayaking, and canoeing. |
| History and Philosophy: | Granite Hill School was formerly known as the DO-IT School. In 1996, the program began as a collaborative effort between SAU 43 and Orion House (an intermediate level residential rehabilitative center). |
